Wally Sanderlin, President
Wally is President of SanTrust Ltd and Sanderlin Foundation. He has led a distinguished career in real estate development in Orlando, Florida. He is Orlando City Commissioner Emeritus and the former Chairman of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. Wally is passionate about making a difference in the world by addressing the world water crisis in developing countries through the local church.

Cari Coats, Vice-President
Cari is founder and President of C2 Advisors. She was formerly Chief Operating Officer of CNL Real Estate Advisors based in Orlando. She also served as Vice President of Business Development for RDV Sports and the Orlando Magic. She is a member of the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee of the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and holds a MBA degree from Duke University.

Merrie Harding, Secretary

Merrie is a Physical Therapist (PT) and Occupational Therapist (OT) with degrees from the University of Florida and Duke University. She has lived in less-developed countries for over seven years and practiced PT and OT in Nigeria, the Kingdom of Jordan and Ethiopia. She works in partnership with her husband, David, with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Merrie and David have three children.

David Harding, Vice-President and Director
David was born and raised in Ethiopia. He holds degrees in agricultural engineering, water science and international agricultural development from North Carolina State University and the University of California. He has lived in less-developed countries for over 18 years including Ethiopia, Nigeria and Jordan. He is currently International Coordinator for Disaster Response and Transformational Development with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.


Steve Silver
Steve, a retired officer from the military and police force, has a passion for bringing safe water to Ethiopia.  He has made multiple working trips to assist with Water is Life’s projects throughout Ethiopia.


Betty Stuart
Betty is the Executive Director of the East Central Florida Division of March of Dimes encompassing eight Central Florida Counties. She has worked in the non profit sector for the last 20 years always for organizations centered on improving the lives of children and families. She previously worked as a Recreation Therapist (RT) with degrees from Stephens College and the University of Florida. She has served on the Water Is Life Board since 2008 and recently returned from her first visit to Ethiopia

The WiLi Board of Directors is a team of experienced and trustworthy individuals who are concerned and passionate about addressing the scarcity of safe water and the resultant poverty that it brings in less developed countries.
